Living as a Writer
Standing on the Boundary

This menu is about sharing small stories about what it is like to live as a writer.
I love my identity as a writer.
But it is one of my personas.
I love my ordinary daily life as much as I love being a writer.
Fierceness toward the truth
How willing are you to break down?
When doing creative work,
the hardest thing is not skill,
but fear.
To create,
I must become transparent like glass—
fragile enough to shatter with the slightest touch.
And to open myself in that state
is agony.
It is terror.
So people defend.
They build walls,
draw curtains,
and bury their truths.
They blame the world
for the tremble in their own hearts,
projecting their shadows
onto anything that moves.
But behind those walls,
they see only what they have constructed—
never the truth.
To see clearly,
they must break.
And breaking
always means
crossing the river of pain.
